EastPack is a well established Grower owned kiwifruit post-harvest operator with facilities in Te Puke, Edgecumbe and Opotiki. We are always looking for hard working, proactive and loyal people to join the EastPack team.
EastPack employs approximately 80 permanent staff year round to work in our packhouses and coolstores in Te Puke, Edgecumbe and Opotiki. During our main kiwifruit packing season (mid March to late September) we also employ an additional 1,400 seasonal staff.
Seasonal post-harvest positions (available from mid March to late September) include:
- Graders
- Packers
- Repackers
- Tray Preparers
- Stackers
- Strappers
- EDI – eg data inputters, pallet inspectors
- EAN Labellers
- Quality Controllers
- Cafeteria Staff
- Cleaners
- Forklift Drivers
- Grader Drivers
- Team Leaders
Shift hours for each site are:
Te Puke
Day Monday to Sunday 8.00 am to 6.30pm (days off are rostered)
Night Monday to Sunday 7.30 pm to 6.00am (days off are rostered)
Edgecumbe
Day Monday to Sunday 8.00 am to 6.30pm (days off are rostered)
Night Monday to Sunday 7.30 pm to 6.00am (days off are rostered)
Opotiki
Day Monday to Saturday 8.00 am to 6.30 pm
Night Sunday to Friday 7.30 pm to 6.00 am
Job-share and on-call positions may also be available. Induction training will be held during March, with work available from late March through till mid June.
